Knowledge initiative by GNIM in its continuous ndeavour to impart quality input to its students invited Dr. Harsh V Verma in its Campus recently. It was a privilege to have an eminent persona who is so well known in the circles of edu- cation around the globe. A Professor of Marketing at FMS Delhi University for more than 23 years, Prof. Verma trained at Harvard University USA, has five books to his credit and his book 'Marketing of Services: Strategies for Success' won DMA Escorts Book of the year award 1993.
Professor R.P. Singh, Director General, GNIM extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guest and introduced him to the faculty, staff and students of GNIM with great honour. The lec- ture was attended by more than 150 faculty and students of the college and Dr.
Verma mesmerised each and every soul present in the seminar room with his Marketing Magic.
“New Age Marketing - Business, Market and Consumer: Changing Paradigm“ was the topic he enlightened them about and with his unique style of delivery he made it come alive. He referred to an anecdote where Albert Einstein was invigilating a class during an examination, and a student said the ques- tion paper was similar to last years question paper and would he like to change it, to which he very aptly replied saying “In life questions remain the same, only answers differ“.
Prof Verma enlightened the audience with the essence of branding, explaining it appropriately with the example of Nike shoes, which are not worn in feet but in the consumers mind
