Medical Council of India

Medical Council of India which is also known commonly as the MCI was started under the Indian Medical Council Act in early 1930s and was responsible to maintain consistent standards of under graduate as well as post graduate studies for medicine in the country. There are seven members containing the required medical qualifications as laid down by the council. Eight of the members are Central Government nominated while their President as well as Vice-President gets elected by a unanimous volte and support of the members of the Council themselves.
