DU extends English course

DU extends English course

The University of Delhi will offer a 100 hour certificate course in English language proficiency at more centres and colleges after a pilot run. Offered at the basic and intermediate levels, the course will run from mid August to December 2009, two hours a day, three days a week, except in special cases, with a total of 100 hours including testing.

The course is open only to DU students enrolled in undergraduate, PG or research programmes, including certificate courses and courses at the campus of Open Learning. Delhi University’s Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL) launched the course to enabled students to use English in a wide variety of contexts relevant to work, studyand social activities. The course fee is Rs, 2,500. Forms can be obtained from the administrative coordinator at the centre. Forms can also be obtained from ILLL or downloaded from www.ill.ac.in or www.du.ac.in
