Australian Development Cooperation Scholarships (Adcos)- Australia offerd Scholarships programs to indian students. Fifty percent (50% slots of scholarship are earmarked for female candidates. Under this Scholarship scheme, 30 (Thirty) scholarships are offered for higher studies/research leading to a Master/Doctoral Degree.

Australian Development Cooperation Scholarships Value

Australian Development Cooperation Scholarships (Adcos) Scholarship covers (a) full tuition fees (b) economy class airfare (Both ways) to Australia and Back (c) Living allowance to cover housing and food for the duration of the scholarships ( this is also payable during semester annual break). Age : Candidates for Master’s degrees should not have exceeded 30 year of age by January.

Minimum Qualifications for Australian Development Cooperation Scholarships

For Master Degree: One must have completed Bachelors Degree in one of the subject fields indicated below securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 60% or above marks in Engineering, Technology and Science group. Candidate should give one page academic justification for going to Australia for master Degree. The candidate must have completed tertiary education in English Medium.

Scholarships Subject Fields

a) Engineering, Technology and Science: including Aeronautical Civil, Communication, Electronic, Manufacturing, Mineral Processing and Mining Engineering, Biotechnology, Instrument Technology, Industrial Design, Information Technology, community health, computer Science and agriculture Science

b) Humanities and Social Science : Management Studies, History, Urban and Regional Planning, English Literature, Economics, Environmental Studies, Sociology, education & pedagogy including Educational Administration and Special Education etc., Architecture, Political Science Psychology, Mass Communication and Demography/ population studies.

Candidates who have already been abroad for study/training/specialization either on scholarship or on their for a period exceeding six month are eligible to apply only if they have been in India for at least two consecutive years after their return from abroad. Candidates applying for master Degree should enclose one/two pages of not justifying their proposed in Australia. Documents submitted along with the application would not be returned. Hence, Candidates are advised to send only the Photocopies of the certificates etc. duly attested
