Guru Gobind Singh University is established by Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999. The University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act. The University has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by Standardization, Testing and Quality Certification Directorate, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, for a period of three years.

Guru Gobind Singh University Admission Procedure
Guru Gobind Singh University conducts common entrance examination (CET) for admission to different programs offered at university schools and other institutes affiliated to it. The varsity publishes notification generally in the month of February and also issues brochures and application forms during this period. There are three brochures issued for making admissions to its different academic programmes offered at the undergraduate and postgraduate level – Admission Brochure-I (Professional programmes); Admission Brochure-II (Engineering & B. Arch. programmes) and Admission Brochure-III (MBBS programme).
